Haryana: Another “Nihang’ member has been arrested in the gruesome killing of a Dalit Sikh. Meanwhile, the first accused Nihang member Sarvajeet Singh has been taken into jail custody a day after the body of a man with his hands and legs hacked off was discovered hanging at the farmers’ protest site. Singh was produced at local court at Sonipat today following his surrender for the barbaric act on Friday, Tough authorities argued for a 14 day custody, Sarvajeet Singh was announced a seven day police custody. Authorities claimed Singh during the questioning had revealed name of the four other suspects and also disclosed abou the weapons used.
The Nihang Sardar has claimed to have ‘no regrets’ about his brutal act. After the accused’s surrender, Baba Aman a leader of the Nihang group appeared before the media and justified the gruesome act as ‘punishment for blasphemy’.
