Indore: Indian cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar is continuing to win hearts with his humanitarian work as he yet again joined the noble cause to continue serving the country off the field. Tendulkar has been long associated with different NGOs to help children in need and has now partnered with an NGO named “NGO Parivaar” to help 560 tribal children from economically weaker backgrounds in Madhya Pradesh, India. The Parivar Education Society, a Kolkata-based institution, is also doing the same thing in Sandalpur village in Khategaon of Dewas district.
This tour of Sachin is only about the education of poor children. He is also accompanied by a team from foreign who is shooting for the visit. Sachin also visited the under-construction building of Nivedita Vidyapeeth. He has joined hands with the “NGO Parivaar” – which has been active in building Seva Kutirs in remote villages of Sehore district, to help the tribal children with their education and nourishment. Children who “have been plagued by malnutrition and illiteracy” are majorly from Barela Bhil and Gond tribes of villages Sewaniya, Beelpati, Khapa, Nayapura, and Jamunjheel in Sehore district who are now getting nourished meals and education with the help of Tendulkar’s foundation.
A press release stated: “This initiative by Sachin is testimony to his concern towards tribal children in Madhya Pradesh who have been plagued by malnutrition and illiteracy.” Noteworthy, Tendulkar, who is a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF, has regularly spoken about interventions like ‘Early Childhood Development and has been also associated with several initiatives for children, as well as, with different NGO’s to help children in need. According to the schedule of coming to Sehore’s Sewaniya village, Sachin can also visit Sevaniya village of Sehore district at 3:00 PM. As soon as the information about his arrival was received, the administration started preparations for his safety Additional SP Sameer Yadav stated.
