Without the video evidence, nobody would have taken it seriously. Witnessing a real-life occurrence is rare, despite the fact that political rivalry is frequently depicted in films ranging from South to Bollywood. That being said, it seems that politicians are drawing inspiration from movie plots just as much as from their real-life experiences. An assassination attempt on Telugu Desham Party leader Bhuma Akhila Priya captured on camera has revealed a cinematic plan from Andhra Pradesh.
The event happened at night in Allagadda, in the Nandyala district, while Nikhil, the bodyguard of former Andhra Pradesh minister Bhuma Akhila Priya, was waiting outside her home. While he was talking to someone else, a car sped at him. As he saw the car coming, Nikhil tried to veer to his right to avoid it, but the car hit him and launched him skyward.
However, three people with pistols in their hands got out of the car and tried to kill Nikhil after he survived the crash. Though badly hurt, the bodyguard managed to enter the house in good time. Nikhil was sent to a hospital in Nandyala, where he is presently undergoing treatment, following serious injuries. Medical experts say that he is in a serious predicament.
During party General Secretary Nara Lokesh’s Yuvagalam Padayatra, Nikhil made headlines when he struck TDP politician AV Subbareddy. Police believe that AV Subbareddy’s relatives attempted to attack Nikhil in retaliation after the event caused a stir. This incident prompted the police to investigate.
Police have been stationed outside the leaders’ homes as a precaution. A case regarding TDP leader AV Subbareddy, Chandra, and four other individuals has reportedly been brought to the Allagadda police station, according to reports.
AV Subbareddy and Bhuma Akhila Priya are at odds over the results of the 2019 elections. AV Subbareddy had earlier claimed that Bhuma Akhila Priya had given supari to a bunch so they could kill him. A gang was taken into custody by the police after his complaint. Even after that, the two leaders engaged in a rhetorical duel.
