Meerut: Anil Dujana, a notorious criminal from Uttar Pradesh, was reportedly encountered by Uttar Pradesh near Meerut. Dujana was sought throughout the state for murder, extortion, and kidnapping crimes.

The incident happened in the wee hours of the morning after police were informed of Dujana’s whereabouts. Dujana allegedly fired on police as they attempted to arrest him, prompting them to respond. According to sources, multiple bullets struck Dujana, who then died instantly.

Dujana, a man with a reputation for violence, had been sought after for years and was the subject of an Rs. 5 lakh bounty. He was sought after for, among other crimes, the 2018 slaying of a businessman in Greater Noida.

Dujana has a lengthy history of participation in organized crime and was thought to be one of the most sought criminals in the state. He had been heading a group that engaged in extortion, land grabbing, and other illicit operations in western Uttar Pradesh for several years.

With organized crime on the rise in the state in recent years, the assassination of Dujana is being hailed as a huge triumph for the Uttar Pradesh police. The incident is anticipated to send a clear message to other criminals operating in the area that the police would not hold back in using force to apprehend them.

Human rights organizations have criticized the police for using extrajudicial murders rather than obeying the law in response to the incident. Dujana was a dangerous criminal who had eluded prosecution for too long, according to police supporters, and he needed to be brought to justice.
