Ramadan Mubarak: The holy month of Ramadan for Muslims has begun today (February 19). PM Narendra Modi on Wednesday congratulated the Muslim community on the occasion of Ramadan. Prime Minister Modi wrote on social media, “Ramadan Mubarak! May this holy month further strengthen the spirit of togetherness in our society. May there be peace and prosperity everywhere.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings to everyone on the occasion of Ramadan and wished for peace, prosperity, and unity in society as the holy month begins. In his message, the Prime Minister wrote, “Ramadan Mubarak! May this auspicious month further strengthen the spirit of unity in our society. May there be peace and prosperity everywhere.”
With the sighting of the moon, Muslims will observe fast from dawn to dusk for the next 30 days. Shahi Imam Maulana Mufti Mukarram Ahmed of Fatehpuri Masjid located at Chandni Chowk confirmed the sighting of the moon and announced the beginning of the month of Ramadan. Naib Shahi Imam Syed Shaban Bukhari of Jama Masjid also confirmed the sighting of the moon.
