New Delhi: In a development, Rahul Gandhi, a figure in the Indian National Congress strongly criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his alleged role in aggravating unrest in Manipur, a northeastern state of India. In a video message, Rahul Gandhi expressed his concern that PM Modi’s focus seems to be limited to rather than the entire nation, including Manipur, which is currently facing significant challenges.

Raising questions about the Prime Ministers’ absence from Manipur during this crisis Rahul Gandhi insinuated that PM Modi’s attention is primarily directed towards the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) than the overall welfare of the country. He accused the BJP RSS alliance of prioritizing power over peace and stability. Additionally, Rahul Gandhi criticized the ruling party for their perceived willingness to employ any means to cling to power at the expense of people well being.

Highlighting a clash between the Congress party and the BJP RSS alliance, Rahul Gandhi emphasized that Congress is driven by principles such as upholding values fostering national unity and combating social inequality. On the hand, he criticized the RSS BJP for following a plan, where only a few people have power, over the country’s wealth and resources which could result in the majority being left behind.

Adding to the criticism of Mallikarjun Kharge, the President of Congress expressed his disappointment with Prime Minister Modi’s absence from Parliament during this crisis. He criticized the Prime Minister for focusing on speeches and campaigning in Rajasthan of addressing the unfolding issues in Manipur. Kharge stressed that the House was functioning. Demanded that the Prime Minister be present to provide a statement. He accused PM Modi of disrespecting democracy and the Constitution by neglecting his responsibilities and failing to address concerns.

The situation in Manipur continues to be a cause for concern and opposition leaders are persistently calling for accountability as effective measures from the central government to tackle the challenges faced by people in this region.
