Raghav Chadha has vehemently refuted allegations that he never brought the issues of Punjab to Parliament terming the allegations as false, baseless, and politically-minded. In response, Aam Aadmi Party MP said on Sunday that his parliamentary record is a clear indication of his constant attempt to raise relevant issues that are of concern to the state.

This explanation is given a few days after Chadha was ousted as the deputy leader of the party in the Rajya Sabha, and Ashok Mittal was appointed to take his place. In his reaction to the criticism by some party leaders, Chadha affirmed that he has raised Punjab related issues in the Upper House on several occasions and he has done so forcefully.

It is not a question of opinion or propaganda, it is an official record, and he said, any one who had attended Parliament knew it was so, and he could be checked in his contributions by the proceedings that were open to the public. Chadha also posted a video in 2024 that he used to address the issues of Punjab in the Rajya Sabha to substantiate his argument.

Raghav also mentioned some of the issues which he has been raising over the years such as the payment of unpaid Rural Development Fund (RDF) dues, the increasing shortage of ground water, the plight of the farmers and financial difficulties of the Punjab government. Rising drug abuse, border security, developing the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor, and visa-free pilgrimage access to Ninkana Sahib were other issues that he pointed out.

Chadha repeated that he is serving Punjab and that he is not interested in politics but people issues.
