Madhya Pradesh: A booze party in Ratlam district turned into a rue after the video of the celebration floated the social media. The party which was reportedly held in the confinements of a containment zone garnered huge mileage as one amongst the three was infected with the coronavirus.
The video clip which spread like wildfire showed an asymptomatic COVID-19 patient and his two friends consuming alcohol at his house. A case has been registered against the three for barging norms. Collector Kumar Purushottam interacting with media reporters highlighted the efforts taken by the state govt to check the spread. He informed that mobile teams have been set up by the administration in order to monitor the health of people.
The three have been booked under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code and relevant provisions of the Epidemic Act.
On Thursday, two 22-year-olds have died of Covid. They are the only youngsters among the 12 deaths so far in the third wave. One of them was unvaccinated and the other one had taken her first dose. Both deaths took place at Bundelkhand Medical College in Sagar district, and each of them died within a day or two of hospitalisation.
