New Delhi: A lot has been happening since the monsoon session of the parliament began on July 19 this year. Several protests by opposition leaders have provoked adjournment of both the upper and lower houses frequently.
Keeping the protests in mind, Rajya Sabha has been adjourned once again today till 2 pm.
Meanwhile, Lok Sabha resumed its functioning after being adjourned till 12 today, Prime Minister along with defense minister Rajnath Singh and other important BJP MPs arrived by 11 am in Lok Sabha Parliament to continue with the parliamentary discussions, it seems they have to wait till the outrage is calmed down.
Ripun Bora, a congress MP, has demanded suspension of business citing rising fuel prices in the country. The “inflammation sloganeering” in Jantar Mantar today by eminent MPs of the opposition party led to such a decision. Previously our PM Narendra Modi Ji urged the MPs to present during the parliamentary sessions and also asked them to focus more on malnutrition and sports events in the following parliamentary sessions.
No Decision Yet On NRC At National Level: Government Tells Lok Sabha
The Government admits no decision has been taken to prepare National Register of Citizens (NRC) at national level. “Till now, the Government has not taken any decision to prepare National Register of Indian Citizens (NRIC) at the national level,” siad MoS Home Nityanand Rai in a reply to a question in Lok Sabha.
As per the latest inputs, the parliament session is adjourned for today. It is expected that after it resumes there will be a discussion about the outrage amongst the MPs near Jantar Mantar. Meanwhile, BJP party Chief JP Nadda asked the MPs to arrange for an “Amrit Mahotsav” awareness program keeping in mind the upcoming Independence Day event. More updates to follow.
