Jaipur: On Monday, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has prohibited the sale of firecrackers and restrict their use for the upcoming Diwali festival in the wake of the crisis created by the coronavirus pandemic.
CM Gehlot has directed the authorities to make severe moves on vehicles that don’t have wellness declarations in a crackdown to handle the hazard of COVID-19 pestilence.
In a review meeting held at the Chief Minister’s residence on Sunday to look over the coronavirus situation, the CM directed to take strict action against the sale of firecrackers in the state and polluting vehicles running without fitness to protect the health of coronavirus-infected patients and the general public from the toxic smoke emitting from them.

“State govt has taken the decision to ban the sale and bursting of firecrackers in order to protect health of #COVID19 infected patients & public from poisonous smoke emanating due to fireworks. In this challenging corona pandemic time,protecting lives of ppl is paramount for govt.,” He tweeted.
The central clergyman said that a second rush of Covid has begun in evolved nations like Germany, UK, France Italy, Spain and that numerous nations had to force another lockdown. He cautioned that individuals ought to likewise be wary so such a circumstance doesn’t emerge here.
Gehlot also announced that his administration will come up with a new legislation that will make masks mandatory. “Rajasthan will be the first state in the country to make masks compulsory to prevent the coronavirus…masks are currently the only vaccine against Covid-19,” he said.
The chief minister also said the recruitment process of 2,000 doctors in Rajasthan should be completed soon. Those selected should be given appointments within 10 days, Gehlot added.
During the conversation on ‘Unlock 6’ guidelines, the State Principal Secretary (Home) Abhay Kumar said educational institutions, including coaching centres, in the state will remain shut for regular educational activities till November 16, the statement added.
