Jabalpur– In a significant political development, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the All India Congress Committee General Secretary, has arrived in Jabalpur, the cultural capital of Madhya Pradesh, for a day-long visit to launch her election campaign. Commencing her itinerary, she paid homage to Mother Narmada at Gwarighat, followed by a public meeting at the Martyrs’ Memorial.

Priyanka Gandhi was presented with a statue of Lord Ganesha and a chunari dedicated to Mother Narmada during her visit. In a collective commitment, Priyanka and the attendees pledged to ensure the cleanliness and preservation of the revered Narmada River. The atmosphere at Gauri Ghat was filled with enthusiastic supporters chanting “Priyanka Gandhi Zindabad ” slogans.”

Following the Narmada Pujan, Priyanka Gandhi sought blessings for victory at Gauri Ghat. Stringent security arrangements were in place, given the importance of the event. A substantial presence of Congress workers added to the enthusiasm. Contesting the upcoming Assembly elections from Jabalpur, Priyanka Gandhi will soon depart for Bhanwartal Garden to pay tribute to the statue of Rani Durgavati by garlanding it.

Joined by former Chief Minister Kamal Nath, Member of Parliament Vivek Tankha, and former minister Lakhan Ghanghoria, Priyanka Gandhi embarked on her election campaign by commencing with the worship of Maa Narmada at Gwarighat. She performed the Maha Aarti alongside 101 Brahmins. To ensure her security during the three-hour visit, elaborate security measures, including 200 officers and soldiers, have been deployed, considering the received security threat inputs.
