New Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind on Sunday (September 27, 2020) affirmed the three-farm bill that has set off fights by farmers particularly in Punjab and Haryana. 

As indicated by a journal notice, the President gave his consent to the three bills: The Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020, The Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement of Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill, 2020, and The Essential Commodities (Amendment) Bill 2020 on Sunday. 

The President’s consent comes in the midst of serious analysis of the bill by the Opposition in the way with which they were passed in the Parliament.

Also, since its endorsement in both the Houses, fights have ejected in numerous parts of the nation against the three farm bills. 

In the interim, Shiromani Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal considered it a dim day for India. It’s actually a dull day for India that the President wouldn’t go about as the country’s soul.
