Gwalior: President Draupadi Murmu is set to visit Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, on July 13, accompanied by a robust security arrangement involving over 1500 police forces and officers. The President’s route will be fortified with 28 drop gates to ensure safety. A final rehearsal of the President’s carcade took place today, fine-tuning the security protocols.
The President’s schedule entails her departure from Maharajpura Airport at noon, heading directly to the majestic Scindia Palace, Jaivilas Palace. During her approximately two-hour stay, Her Excellency will embark on a tour of the Maratha Gallery and engage with the Royal Museum and young children. A grand banquet, graced by around 100 special guests, including Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, and prominent BJP leaders, will also be hosted at the palace.
At 2:30 pm, Her Majesty will depart from the palace to attend the convocation ceremony at the triple ITM College. After the event, she will depart for Delhi at 4 pm, concluding her visit to Gwalior.
Following protocol, a Minister in Waiting has been designated to receive and bid farewell to the President. Tulsiram Silawat, the minister in charge of water resources and Gwalior, will fulfil this responsibility on behalf of the state government.
It is worth mentioning that Union Home Minister Amit Shah recently visited Jyotiraditya Scindia’s prestigious Jai Vilas Palace on October 16, where he inaugurated the Maratha Gallery. He also attended a lavish royal banquet during his visit. The forthcoming visit of President Draupadi Murmu to Gwalior signifies the importance of the region and its rich cultural heritage.
