NEW DELHI: A man based out of Uttar Pradesh working as a labourer involved in kidnapping, sexually abusing and killing children was on Tuesday convicted by a Delhi court.
Ravindra Kumar, a peadophile who came to Delhi from Kasganj in Uttar Pradesh in search of work would get high on drugs, watch pornographic films and go in search of children to sexually assault and then kill them, the police said. They have demanded severe punishment for the accused who was arrested from the outer Delhi area in 2015, for the rape and murder of a 6 year old.
As per reports, it all started in 2008, when accused was only 18 years and had developed a routine of the horrific habit. Over the years, by 2015 he killed almost 30 children. He would lure the children with 10-rupee notes and chocolates and take them to some isolated place.
Police have also learned the accused would sometimes walk up to 40 kilometres around construction sites and slums, looking for his prey.
After commiting the crime for the first time in 2008 in Delhi’s Karla area, Ravindra continued to give a slip to the police that emboldened him and he made it habbit.
