NEW DELHI: In a major breakthrough, police investigating the Shraddha Walker case have recovered CCTV footage in which criminal Aaftab is seen carrying a bag. The dark and grainy image in which Aaftab is seen carrying a bag is suspected to be of the times when he was going to dispose of the dismembered body parts of his live-in partner, Shraddha.
Meanwhile, the Delhi Police team has collected Shraddha Walker’s clothes from the Chattarpur rented house she shared with her live-in partner Aftab in an attempt to find more clues to aid in the ongoing investigation. Besides, police also recovered some sharp objects from the house of Poonawala, which he claims to have used to chop the body.
On Saturday, teams of police combed the Mehrauli forest area to search remains of the victim. Bones have been recovered so far, which have been sent for forensic analysis. The blood samples of the victim’s father and brother have been collected to match their DNA with the skeletal remains recovered till now, police said on Friday.
Aaftab Poonawala brutally murdered his live-in partner Shradda Walker in a fit of rage and chopped her body in 35 parts and disposed it across the city.
