Bairagarh: Politics has intensified regarding the cement-concrete platform under construction at Bairagarh sports ground. Now Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) has retaliated making a permanent platform on this ground. BJP District Vice President Ram Bansal has said that the development of the sports ground is not pleasing to the Congress, because the Congress has not done any development of the ground during its rule. Bansal has said that the playing field has become modern and the purpose of making a stage here is to facilitate the players. Earlier, local Congress leaders protested against the platform and demanded its removal. The players also opposed it.
The local Congress leaders, along with the players, inspected here and protested against making a stage in the middle of the approach road. Senior Congress leader Naresh Gyanchandani and former counselor Ashok Maran had said that it is being considered to make the ground in the shop in the future. Gyanchandani said that there are already two platforms on the playing field, so what is the need to build a third one.
Sapna Srivastava, principal of Government Boys High School, had also said that the capital project administration has not taken permission from the education department to build the platform. Meanwhile, Congress has also demanded a probe into the amount spent in construction. Congress leaders say that there has been a lot of rigging on the pretext of stage construction.
