New Delhi: In a grim discovery, the Delhi Police stumbled upon the dismembered body of a woman near the Geeta Colony flyover area on Wednesday. The shocking incident prompted an immediate investigation by law enforcement officials, following a report from a local resident in the vicinity around 9:15 am.
Central Range Joint Commissioner of Police, Paramaditya, confirmed that two black polythene bags were recovered, with one containing the severed head of the victim and the other containing various body parts. The preliminary investigation indicated the presence of long hair, leading the police to assume that the victim was a woman due to the decomposed state of the body.
In a briefing with reporters, Paramaditya shared that measures are being taken to subject the body to post-mortem examination while acknowledging that its identification remains pending verification. The police maintain an uncertain stance on both ascertaining an accurate tally of all retrieved body parts from duffel bags and determining if any elements may be absent or unaccounted for. Consequently, at present, we’re unaware of who exactly this victim is while authorities actively investigate this matter further.
This case adds to a series of disturbing incidents involving dismembered bodies discovered after murders in recent months. In a similar instance in March of this year, four dismembered body parts and a bundle of hair were found at a construction site near Sarai Kale Khan ISBT. The recovered body parts, packed inside a plastic bag, included a highly decomposed skull beyond recognition, a wrist with fingers, two additional bones, and a bunch of long hair.
In an unwavering quest for truth authorities remain resolute in their efforts to uncover answers pertaining to these shocking incidents. Moreover holding perpetrators accountable is crucial in their pursuit of justice. As investigators continue working diligently led by law enforcement officials emphasis lies on identifying the victim as well as unraveling all aspects regarding this profoundly unsettling crime.
