Pune: After an FIR was filed on trainee IAS officer Puja Khedkar’s parents for reportedly threatening a farmer on Monday, Pune Rural Police stated that the accused are absconding, and their phones are turned off. This came in the wake of a video that was recently circulating online showing Khedkar’s mother, Manorama Khedkar, with a firearm and what some villagers claimed was the use of an aggressive stance in Mulshi taluka of Pune district.
While talking to a news agency, SP Pankaj Deshmukh, Pune Rural, said, “The accused are on the run. We attempted to contact them, but their numbers are barred and thus unreachable. We went to their house too, but they were not home.” To search for Manorama and Dilip Khedkar, policemen have set up several teams to look for Khedkar around the Pune area and other places like farmhouses or residences.
