Gujarat: A Day after the stupendous victory in the majority of the states that underwent polls recently, PM Modi today reached the next poll-bound state Gujarat to a grand welcome and held a roadshow in Ahmedabad. This visit by Modi would be amongst the first steps of commencing the campaign for assembly elections slated in the state later this year.

The roadshow is planned from the Ahmedabad airport to the BJP’s state office in Gandhinagar. Riding in an open jeep decorated with floral garlands, PM Modi waved to the hundreds of supporters and admirers who gathered by the roadside as his roadshow began from the airport to Kamalam, BJP’s state headquarters in Gandhinagar. Kamalam is around 10 km from the airport.

PM Modi is on a two-day visit to his home state to participate in several events. He is scheduled to address the Gujarat Panchayat Mahasammelan this evening, at a stadium in Ahmedabad where one lakh representatives from the three tiers of the Panchayat Raj institutions would be present. He will also inaugurate the ‘Khel Mahakumbh’ sporting event and address the first convocation of Rashtriya Raksha University located in Lavad Gandhinagar.
