Indian Prime minister Narendra Modi said on Monday that India is ready to look forward towards its future. Delivering his address at the NDTV World Summit, he noted that transformation to this new mindset is already achievable with the country’s vision as a developed nation by 2047 enshrined in the Constitution. Modi commented on the typical political practice in which governments are keen to Co–compare their outcomes. He was aware that this was not unusual in the current practice, and from this onwards, he emphasized the need to progress instead of comparing the current performance to previous experiences. “It was now possible to change the measure of success from what had already been attained to what might be desired to be accomplished. Now India has got a vision for the future alone,” he added emphatically.
Describing the global scenario during the past five years, PM Modi recalled various global concerns, such as COVID-19, which affected the economies globally and led to inflation and increased unemployment rates. He also referred to cases of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and West Asia. Nevertheless, he pointed out that India has been one of the least affected countries in the period of global crisis and has even become enlightened, speaking about the stability and positive outlook of the nation. “In India, we are talking about the India Century. We look up to India as a bright light in the middle of a dark crisis in the world.” However, he said there is optimism that people take as they continue to face different challenges in society.
Modi also talked about India’s place in the sphere of digital performance and democratic principles. He noted that what many countries have witnessed as digital revolutions spearheaded by private entities has been Hogshorn to the majority. On the other hand, India is offering a new model to the global world by democratizing technology and building strong and sustainable digital public goods. ‘India has proven that digital disruptiveness and democracy are not hostile bedfellows,’ said the Prime Minister while emphasizing on India as a pioneer of a better tomorrow for others to follow.
