PM Modi UK Visit: PM Narendra Modi has arrived in the UK for a two-day visit. He was warmly welcomed at the airport on reaching the UK capital, London. Prime Minister Modi will meet British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and British monarch King Charles. This is PM Modi’s first visit to Britain after Keir Starmer became Prime Minister. There will be a bilateral meeting between PM Modi and Starmer in London. In this, issues like Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between India-UK, defense, technology and climate will be discussed.
On his arrival in London, Catherine West, Minister of the British Foreign Office and Charge d’Affaires for the Indo-Pacific Region, welcomed Prime Minister Modi at the London airport. Indian High Commissioner to the UK Vikram Doraiswami and British High Commissioner to Delhi Lindy Cameron also accompanied him.
PM Modi received a grand welcome in London. Indian expatriates were excited when PM arrived in London. Everyone was excited to get a glimpse of PM, to meet him once. Everyone welcomed PM warmly. PM also talked to many people and blessed the children. After meeting PM Modi, Indian expatriate Gehna Gautam said, I just met the Prime Minister. He passed by us. It was a wonderful moment. I got a chance to shake hands with him.
On this occasion, PM Modi posted on his social media handle X and said, I have reached London. He further said, this visit will further strengthen the economic partnership between India and Britain. The main objective of this visit will be to promote prosperity, development and employment of our people.
PM Modi UK Vist: All eyes are on the FTA deal
During this visit of the PM, all eyes are on the deal on the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the two countries. The negotiations between the two countries regarding the FTA went on for more than 3 years, which have now been completed. During this visit of PM Modi, the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) can be signed after three years of negotiations between India and the United Kingdom (UK). According to media reports, the legal process of the draft agreement has been completed.
