Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit his Lok Sabha constituency of Varansi today during which he shall inaugurate a three-day Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam. The program is organized by the Ministry of Education in association with University Grants Commission (UGC) and Banaras Hindu University.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Governor Anandiben Patel, and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan shall also grace the occasion.
Efforts will be made to deliberate on how the implementation of National Education Policy 2020 can be taken across the nation after the successful implementation of several initiatives in the past two years.
The visit shall also lay the foundation stone for multiple development initiatives worth over Rs 1800 crore with a focus on improving infrastructure and enhancing the ease of life.
Later, the PM shall inaugurate the ‘Akshay Patra Mid-Day Meal Kitchen’ at LT College, Varanasi. The facility has the capacity of cooking mid-day meals for around one lakh students. Thereafter, he shall reach Dr. Sampurnanad Sports Stadium, Sigra to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of multiple projects.
According to the Ministry of Education, this three-day seminar will bring together over 300 Vice-Chancellors and Directors from public and private universities, educationists, and policymakers.
