New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the next installment of financial benefit under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme via video conferencing on Monday at 12:30 pm. 

Under this scheme, eligible beneficiary farmer families will be provided with an annual financial benefit of Rs 6,000 that is payable in three equal four-monthly installments of Rs 2000 each. 

An official notice from the PMO informed the release. “This will enable the transfer of an amount of more than ₹19,500 crores to more than 9.75 crores beneficiary farmer families. The Prime Minister will interact with farmer-beneficiaries during the event and will also address the nation,” read the official release by the Prime Minister’s Office.

So far, over Rs 1.38 lakh crore have been transferred under the “Samman Rashi”. The 8th installment of the financial benefit under the (PM-KISAN) scheme was last released on May 14 by PM Modi virtually. 

 In another notice, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) announced the launch of Ujjain 2.0 Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana -PMUY) by handing over LPG connections, at Mahoba Uttar Pradesh on August 10 at 12.30 pm virtually. PM Modi would interact with the beneficiaries of the Ujjwala scheme and address the nation again.

This year nearly one crore LPG connections would be provided which is double of those provided in the first program. 

Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also be present on the occasion.
