Mumbai: Amid heavy rainfall in Mumbai, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit today on July 13 to lay the foundation stone for the twin tunnel. He will also inaugurate development work projects with a total worth of Rs. 29400 crores. The first of its kind in India, the twin tunnel is being built 20-25 meters below sea level and is expected to be ready by 2025.
PM Modi will attend the function at the NESCO Exhibition Centre in Goregaon at 5:30 PM on July 13. He shall inaugurate various transportation and connectivity projects in the financial capital and later launch projects related to railways, roads, and port development. PM Modi will also launch Mukhyamantri Yuva Karya Prashikshan Yojana for skill enhancement in Mumbai.
Furthermore, PM Modi will visit the Indian News Service (INS) Secretariat in Bandra Kurla Conplex in the evening at 7 PM to inaugurate the new INS Towers. These towers will provide the new office space for employees working at the INS as a central hub for maintaining the newspaper network in the capital.
