Hubballi: The 26th National Youth Festival will begin in the twin cities of Hubballi-Dharwad in Karnataka from 12th to 16th January. Prime Minister Narendra Modi shall inaugurate the festival. Anurag Singh Thakur, Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports confirmed that the theme of this year’s Youth Festival is ‘Vikasit Yuva, Vikasit Bharat’.
Over 7500 youth delegates from all over India will participate in traditional games like Kalaripayatu, Thangta, Gatka, Mallakhamb, and Yogasana will be an integral part of the festival. Assuming the G20 presidency of India shall be a great moment for India, Mr. Thakur considers issues of National Educational Policy, Climate Change, water, and energy must be discussed through.
The event is held on the National Youth Day which is celebrated on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand to honour his ideals, teachings, and contributions.
