Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to flag off a Vande Bharat Express from Visakhapatnam to Puri on March 12 via videoconferencing.

According to information received from sources, the train will leave from Puri in the morning and reach Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh by afternoon. According to the source, the return train will leave from Visakhapatnam for Puri in the afternoon. Railway officials have not yet shared detailed information regarding fare charts and stoppages.

Officials have not yet decided whether the train will go to Puri via Bhubaneswar or directly from Khudra Road station. Currently, two Vande Bharat trains are running in the state which connect Puri to Rourkela and Howrah. The rakes of the existing two trains are white and blue. But the report says that the color of the third train will be saffron-grey. Puri-Rourkela Vande Bharat Express was flagged off by Modi on September 24 last year through video conference from New Delhi.
