In an immediate retaliation, Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister, shot down Mani Shankar Aiyar, a Congress leader, who recommended reciprocal respect for Pakistan, pointing at the neighbouring country’s economic problems that eventually resulted in the sale of its arsenal. At a rally in Odisha, PM Modi slammed the Congress party for intimidating Indians about Pakistan’s nuclear weapons since there were exemplified anti-terror attacks of the past involving the crossing of borders.
“Congress consistently instills fear in its own people, warning of Pakistan’s atomic bombs. These feeble attempts undermine India’s resolve. Pakistan’s inability to manage its own bombs results in attempts to sell them, yet no buyers emerge due to their inferior quality. This weak stance prolonged terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir for over six decades,” stated PM Modi.
Heightened Pakistan’s atomic bombs as a reason, and PM Modi asked India to respect Pakistan due to the possession of atomic bombs. He explained the risk posed by igniting the atomic bomb with an unstable leader emerging in power. The Congress distanced itself from Aiyar’s remarks. They blamed the BJP to use this for diverting attention from the Kurji cake-eating fiasco, apparently to their benefit.
“The Indian National Congress team completely denies any affiliation with Mr. Mani Shankar Aiyar and the BJP strong point is his revived comments that can save Mr. Modi from his errors,” accused Congress spokesperson Mr Pawan Khera. Home Minister Amit Shah criticized and claimed that India still has the upper hand at the PoK and is in possession of nuclear capacity as a part of their claim that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir is theirs.
“Mani Shankar Aiyar suggests we respect Pakistan for its atomic bomb. India’s bloc leader Farooq Abdullah recently cautioned against discussing PoK due to Pakistan’s atomic bomb. PoK remains India’s, inviolable by any force,” declared Shah. Meanwhile, PM Modi predicted Congress’s parliamentary seats would plummet below 50 after the general election.
