New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the diamond jubilee celebrations of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today afternoon. The event is set to take place at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi according to a government statement.
Apart from this, he will also inaugurate the newly constructed office complexes of the central agency in Shilong, Pune, and Nagpur. Later, he shall release a postage stamp and commemorative coin marking the celebration.
PM Modi took to his official Twitter account to post updates from the event. “Addressing the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of CBI”‘ tweeted the prime minister.
As per the official statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), an investiture ceremony for recipients o President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service and God Medal for Best Investigating Officers of CBI will also take place during the event.
