Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh: PM Modi’s 3 state visits in a day started today with the inaugural of Arunachal Pradesh’s first Greenfield airport which is located about 25 kms from Itanagar. A Greenfield project is built on undeveloped land which is put to use with such projects. He arrived at Itanagar early morning and also launched some other key projects in the state. Later in the day, he is set to visit Varanasi and his hometown Gujarat where assembly elections are due in about two weeks.
PM Modi inaugurated the Doni Polo airport at Arunachal Pradesh whose estimated development cost is about 640 crore rupees. It is aimed at boosting trade and travel in the state. “The inauguration of this airport is a tight slap on the face of the people who claimed that the foundation stone was laid because of the upcoming elections in Arunachal Pradesh”, PM Modi said at the inaugural event.
Apart from this, the PM also dedicated the 600 MW Kameng hydroelectric power station to the nation, the estimated cost of which is about 8450 crores. Next, he will visit Varanasi to inaugurate the “Kashi Tamil Sangamam” which will see the attendance of more than 2500 delegates from the state of Tamil Nadu. This project will strengthen the relationship between these two states.
He will be visiting Gujarat in the evening which he informed by a tweet yesterday. In his tweet, PM Modi wrote, “In the evening tomorrow, 19th November, I will be in Valsad to address a campaign rally. All across Gujarat there is tremendous support for @BJP4Gujarat due to our proven track record of development. The anti-Gujarat agenda of the opposition is being comprehensively rejected.” Ahead of the Gujarat assembly elections, PM Modi will campaign for the ruling party in the state.
