Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a crucial roundtake discussion with the leading CEOs with the aim of encouraging collaboration and innovation in India’s exponentially growing technology sector. PM Modi’s meeting with the American technology leaders took place during his three-day visit to the USA, with the key segment unfolding at Lotte New York Palace Hotel. The event was hosted by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
In a post on social media, Indian prime minister shared his views from the meeting. “Had a fruitful roundtable with tech CEOs in New York, discussing aspects relating to technology, innovation, and more. Also highlighted the strides made by India in this field, I am glad to see immense optimism towards India”, wrote PM Modi on X.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) pointed out that the meeting with the leading American technology leaders focused on innovative sectors such as semiconductor technologies, artificial intelligence (AI), and biotechnology. Further, how these innovations are being used to transform the global economy and improve people’s lives worldwide was the main topic of discussion.
Following his meeting with PM Modi, Sundar Pichai said that the Indian prime minister saying that “he is challenging us to do more in terms of AI so that it benefits the people of India.”
PM has pushed us to continue to making in India and designing in India and wants to make sure that ultimately AI is there to benefit the people of India, Sundar Pichai said.
