Telangana: Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Telangana today to inaugurate projects worth Rs. 11,300 crores including All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bibinagar. PM Modi has also flagged off Secunderabad-Tirupati Vande Bharat Express in Hyderabad.

“Launched Vande Bharat Express which will improve connectivity between Secunderabad and Tirupati. On this occasion, I congratulate the people of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh”, tweeted the prime minister.

With the 2023 Telangana Assembly elections the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to gain its first political push and gain power in the Southern state currently ruled by CM K Chandrashekar Rao’s Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). While elections for 119-member Assembly are expected by the end of the year, BJP is gradually starting the campaigning process in Telangana.

As he addressed a public meeting in Hyderabad’s parade ground later during the day, he reached Chennai at 3PM to inaugurate new terminal building of Chennai Airport and flag off the Chennai-Coimbatore Vande Bharat Express at MGR Chennai Central Railway Station.
