New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his 8 Km roadshow in Bengaluru today morning, campaigning for the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the scheduled Karnataka Assembly polls on May 10. The roadshow from Kempegowda statue at new Thippasandra Road to Trinity Circle was covered in one-and-half hours.

The roadshow began with Modi paying floral tributes to the statue of Kempegowda (founder of Bengaluru) and passed through several parts of central Bengaluru, touching five Assembly segments. A day before the final day of campiaging, the massive road show in the city saw a large number of enthusiastic crows waving.

PM Modi was accompanied in the specially-designed vehicles by Union Minister of State Rajeev Chandrasekhar, who is a Rajya Sabha member from Karnataka, and Bengaluru Central MP, PC Mohan. Massive arrangements were made along the stretch, including erecting barricades to ensure that roadshow went on smoothly. Cultural teams were stationed at different places as the entire distance was decked up with saffron hues as BJP flags were seen on either side.
