New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, missed the all party meeting ahead of parliament’s monsoon session scheduled to kick-start from Monday, July 18th. The meeting is undergoing at the Parliament annexe where representatives and leaders from all the political parties are showing up. PM’s absence is raising questions from the opposition parties who are calling it ‘unconstitutional’. Usually, the prime Minister calls and holds the all- party- meet to ensure smooth functioning of the house.
Congress Leader and Parliamentarian, Jai ram Naresh took to his twitter handle and strongly raised question on PM’s absence from the meeting, calling it unconstitutional.
However, other senior leaders of BJP including Rajnath Singh, Piyush Goyal, Prahlad Joshi, and Arjun Meghwal , attended the meeting on Sunday.
The Indian National Congress is being represented by Jai Ram Naresh, Mallikarjun Kharge and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury. NCP Chief Sharad Pawar along with Supriya Sule, Ramnath Thakur of Janta Dal United (JDU), Sanjay Singh from Aam Aadmi Party and Harsimrat Kaur from Akali Dal respectively represented their parties at the all party meeting. The monsoon session will be rolled out for a total of 108 hours and conducted in 18 sittings. The session is expected to end by August 12th.
