New Delhi: The winter session of Parliament is going to start from 25 November this time. Which will end on 20 December. During this time many important bills will be discussed. There is a possibility of a huge uproar on One Nation-One Election and Waqf Bill during the winter session. After the cabinet approves the report on One Nation-One Election, the bill will be introduced in the winter session.
The opposition parties oppose the One Nation-One Election and are not in favor of simultaneous elections in the country. A joint session of Parliament can be held in the Central Hall of Parliament House on November 26, the 75th anniversary of the Constitution. Apart from this, the JPC constituted on the Waqf Bill can present its report in the winter session of Parliament. There is a possibility of uproar on this too. Let us tell you that recently Home Minister Amit Shah, while speaking on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill 2024, had said that this bill will be passed during the winter session of Parliament.
Proceedings From Monsoon Session (22 July to 9 August)
The first monsoon session of the 18th Lok Sabha ran from 22 July to 9 August. Then 12 bills were introduced, out of which 4 bills were passed. These included the Finance Bill 2024, the Appropriation Bill 2024, the Jammu and Kashmir Appropriation Bill 2024 and the Indian Aircraft Bill.
