New Delhi: On Friday, both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha adjourned until Monday at 11 am following protests by Opposition MPs. The suspension of MPs triggered uproar, leading to repeated adjournments, as the Opposition demanded a discussion on the security breach incident that occurred on the same day. The ongoing agitation compelled the government to provide a statement on the breach. Simultaneously, Lalit Mohan Jha, the prime suspect in the Parliament security breach, was apprehended.

Authorities revealed that terrorism charges under the stringent UAPA had been filed against the four accused. Additionally, eight Delhi Police personnel faced suspension in connection with the incident. The police confirmed the involvement of a total of six individuals in this sensational event, coinciding with the 22nd anniversary of the 2001 terror attack on Parliament.

In response to the unfolding developments, the BJP announced a Parliamentary party meeting scheduled for December 19 in the Parliament Library Building. This meeting is anticipated to address and strategize on the prevailing circumstances and the security breach.

The events underscore the heightened tensions and concerns within the parliamentary setting, as Opposition protests, security issues, and legal actions against the accused unfold concurrently. The suspension of parliamentary proceedings reflects the gravity of the situation, prompting a pause in legislative activities until a resolution or adequate discussions can occur.

As the investigations progress and political discussions loom, the forthcoming BJP Parliamentary party meeting holds significance in shaping the party’s response and strategy. The arrest of the key suspect and the filing of terrorism charges add layers of complexity to an already charged atmosphere surrounding the security breach incident.
