New Delhi: Parliament Monsoon Session continued to witness a ruckus on Monday as it commenced after the Eid holiday and the weekend. Both houses were adjourned multiple times today after opposites hurled allegations at the centre. However, the Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day amidst the uproar by the opposition, ahead of which the National Institutes of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management Bill, 2021 was passed in the house.
PM Modi and Amit Shah along with selective members of their cabinet held a meeting ahead of the session for today. While portraying his solidarity with the farmers’, opposition leader Rahul Gandhi drove to the parliament in a tractor marking his protest against the farm laws.
Beginning the session, the parliament paid homage to the Kargil Martyrs that arouse victorious after a 60-day battle with Pakistan.
Amid reports of the French President Emmanuel Macron conversation with Israeli PM Naftali Bennet on Pegasus Snooping allegation, Senior Congress member P Chidambaram attacked the centre on Monday saying, the only government ‘unconcerned’ over the Pegasus issue is India.
Chidambaram tweeted, “President Macron of France called PM Bennett of Israel and demanded to know full information about alleged use of Pegasus spyware to hack phones in France, including the President’s.”
“The only government that is unconcerned is the Government of India!” Chidambaram said.
The Parliament Monsoon session 2021 commenced with a rocky start on July 19 and concluded on 13 August 2021.
