New Delhi: Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi today came down hard on the PM’s government. Addressing his concern over the Ladakh dispute, he titled Mr Modi “a coward” who cannot stand up to the Chinese. Gandhi accuses the PM of ignoring the sacrifice by the Indian army.
He said ” The PM is a coward who cannot stand up to the Chinese. He is spitting on the sacrifice of our army. He is betraying the sacrifice of our army. Nobody in India should be allowed to do it.”
India and China decided on disengagement in the North and South bank of Pangong lake in eastern Ladakh.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh informed Parliament that India and China had mutually agreed to withdraw troops along the Line of Control. He also mentioned that no authoritative land of India is been ceded to China.
As per the agreement, any structure built on both sides since April 2020 in the north and south bank areas will be sabotaged to restore natural landforms.
Over this statement by the defense, the Congress MP questioned the government on withdrawal of troops from Kailash ranges. He demanded an explanation from the PM as to why the soldiers have been ordered to revert to Finger 3 from Finger 4.
The Congress party member says that the defense minister hasn’t disclosed updates on the most strategic area- Depsang Plains. He claims that PM has given away the Indian Territory to the Chinese. He further added that the PM is held responsible for protecting the country’s territories and that he is answerable to the country.
