Parliament Monsoon Session Updates: “Parliament Insulted” By Acts of Opposition in Both the Houses: PM Modi

New Delhi: After being stalled several times, PM Modi at the parliament today renewed his comments over the derogatory remarks on the bills passed and the unethical behavior of the opposition. He accused them of insulting the legislature and the constitution.

Addressing reporters, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi said,” the prime minister expressed anger at the conduct of some opposition members and noted that those who tore papers and threw it around have remained unrepentant”.

As soon as the parliament assembled on Tuesday, the Lok Sabha witnessed protests over the Pegasus snooping controversy and the contentious farm laws that attributed to the adjournment of the house twice. 

In the afternoon, General Bipin Rawat, Chief Defence Staff arrived at the Parliament. Following which a discussion over the incidents of Ceasefire Violation/Cross Border firing in Jammu and Kashmir during the last three years was presented by the Ministry of Home Affairs in Lok Sabha.

 Earlier, this morning Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi convened with the members of the opposition for the second time in a week. The meeting over breakfast was called to initiate a dialogue over the option of holding a “mock parliament” outside.
