Kashmir: The Border Security Force in a statement said that Pakistan is using infiltration paths from Gujarat and Rajasthan borders, unlike the usual J&K and Punjab borders.

It is also stated that several attempts were made by the Pakistani terrorist to enter India through these paths. While only one infiltration attempt was made through the Kashmir border this year, 4 attempts were made through it in the last year.

Both Rajasthan and Gujarat have recorded infiltration attempts this year but the strong vigilance by the BSF has prevented any kind of terrorist activities on the border.

A senior BSF official commented, “We have seen incidents of infiltration attempts from Gujarat and Rajasthan borders as well this year. Last year, no such incidents were recorded in the same period of time”.

A total of 11 terrorist infiltration attempts have been made this year that includes all the four borders of J&K, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Gujarat. Jammu and Punjab each have 4 such attempts in their record while the other attempts are made through the other borders. BSF and J&K police jointly detected a 150 metres long tunnel in the Samba area of Jammu and Kashmir.
