Meghalaya: Over 1.2 lakh individuals have been influenced because of new floods that hit Meghalaya’s West Garo Hills area on Thursday morning. Albeit no loss has been reported for, Tura and more than 40 towns have been hit by the floods. Rang Salona MLA rushed to the spot to evaluate the circumstance. Appointee Commissioner of West Garo Hills Ram Singh stated, “Weighty precipitation with downpour caused avalanches around Tura town and Gambegre, Rongram, Rerapara, Selsella block. Around 30 houses in Tura are harmed and appraisal is continuing for different territories and individuals are being moved to more secure areas.”
He included that till now, they have not set up help camps as the floods had occurred that morning.
