New Delhi: OncoStem diagnostics that enable personalized cancer treatment has been awarded the Aegis Graham Bell Award in the Innovative Diagnostics Category. To honor the innovations in IT, Telecom, and exponential technologies, this award is started as an initiative by the Aegis School of Data Science.

Mainly this award is a tribute to Alexander Graham Bell, The Father of Telephony and the Great Innovator. The Aegis Graham Bell Award is supported by NITI Aayog, Skill India, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, and National Informatics Centre Services Incorporated, a Government of India enterprise.

A Bangalore-based startup company, OncoStem was founded in the year 2011 by Dr. Manjiri Bakre. For the past 3 years, its flagship product ‘CanAssist Breast’ has been used in the Indian subcontinent. Currently, it is working on similar tests for the other subtypes of ovarian cancer and breast cancer.
