New Delhi: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has reported that the North and North-western regions of the country will experience scattered rainfall from 5th May to 7th May. These areas will have more rain and thunderstorms like they had during the past few weeks. The Western Himalayan region is also expected to have snowfall on 6th and 7th May, according to the IMD reports.
The reports also say that thunderstorms, strong gusts of wind, and lightning will also occur in these regions. Punjab and Haryana are predicted to have isolated rainstorms on Sunday, 7 May. The IMD department has also given Yellow Watch signals over a few regions which include Ladakh, Jammu Kashmir, and Punjab.
It means that these regions will have to look for the local weather over the next few days. This warning is also issued for Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh and Delhi but it is just for Saturday and Sunday. A Cyclonic Circulation over the Western Iran region will cause rainfalls to occur in the Northern regions of India.
These Western Disturbances will cause the moisture from the Mediterranean Sea to be dumped over the Northern regions . Many places across the country are experiencing constant changes in their weather which has been caused by the Western Disturbances.
