Ghulam Haider, spouse of Seema Haider, who entered India unlawfully last May to wed Sachin Meena, lodged a complaint in a Noida court, accusing Seema and Sachin of “cheating,” as per reports.
Represented by Indian lawyer Momin Malik, Ghulam Haider has initiated legal action against the duo under CrPC’s Section 156 (3). Per TOI, Momin alleged Seema hadn’t finalized her divorce from Ghulam Haider, rendering her marriage to Sachin void.
During the recent hearing, Momin contended Seema had identified Ghulam Haider as her husband in her bail application following her arrest for illegal entry, despite publicly claiming marriage to Sachin.
The court has issued a notice to Noida police, demanding a report by April 18. Seema and Sachin were apprehended by Noida police in Ballabhgarh last July under Section 14 of the Foreigners Act and IPC Section 120B (criminal conspiracy). Released on bail on July 7, they were previously arrested alongside Sachin’s father, who was later granted bail. Seema was found residing with Sachin in Greater Noida in July 2023, revealing she relocated to India due to her feelings for him, developed while playing PUBG. She left her former husband, then based in Saudi Arabia.
In an interview, she disclosed her conversion to Hinduism and reluctance to return to her homeland, stating her children from her prior marriage also embraced Hinduism.
Seeking Indian citizenship, she wrote to President Droupadi Murmu amidst deportation calls.
