New Delhi: No remorse, says Neeraj Bishnoi main accused in the Bulli Bai app case. DCP of Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations unit KPS Malhotra alleged Neeraj is the main conspirator and the creator of the app and confessed his role in the crime.
The right-wing activist during interrogation claimed he has done ‘right’ informed police officials, who arrested him from Assam’s Jorhat district on Thursday. The accused was produced in court today and sent to seven-day police custody.
Soon after being arrested, Bishnoi a second-year student of B.Tech at the Bhopal’s Vellore Institute of Technology was suspended immediately. Bishnoi was tracked via digital surveillance of a Twitter handle- @bullibai_, sources reported.
Interrogation revealed Bishnoi handled several similar accounts on Twitter targeting other communities. Apart from bullibai, the 21-year-old also created a @giyu44 handle that mocked Mumbai police referring to them as ‘slumbai police’. The handle features tweets of an abusive nature and a pinned tweet with a collection of screengrabs taunting the police over their arrests.
So far, 4 have been arrested in the case when spread outrage across the nation after a journalist bought the matter to notice.
