MUMBAI: The Vasai Court on Monday adjourned the hearing for Sheezan Khans’ bail plea until 11 January. Hearing the arguments of both the sides-District and Additional Sessions Judge accepted the time request put forth by Ms. Sharma’s lawyer. “We have asked for another date further and we’ll be keeping our perspective in the court on January 11,” Tunisha’s family’s advocate Tarun Sharma said.
Sheezan is under judicial custody for abetment of suicide of his co-actor and ex-girlfriend Tunisha Sharma who was found hanging on the sets of her show Ali Baba.
The defense made a shocking revelation on Monday about Tunisha using a dating app prior to her death. Sheezan’s lawyer said that Tunish was in contact with a man named Ali and was in his company on Dec 21 and 23 just before her death. They added-“15 minutes before committing suicide Ms. Sharma was on a video call with Ali’. Seeking a probe into this angle, the counsels also added that no suicide note was found on the spot, nor any evidence that hinted Sheezan’s involvement in the death. Mishra and Rai- Defence advocates also refuted the allegation against Khan of ‘ love Jihad’, forcing the victim to wear Hijab and convert to Islam.
