Hyderabad: On Friday while speaking in the house of Assembly, K Chandrashekhar Rao, CM of Telangana stated that there are no plans to impose a lockdown in Telangana. He said, “There will be no lockdown implemented in the state of Telangana. People need not panic”. He further added that due to the previous lockdown in Telangana, the whole state has faced a lot of problems. So, there will be no lockdown in the state.

The CM stated that to control the spread of the deadly virus, the state government is taking all possible measures. The people of the state are appealed by the CM to maintain social distance and wear masks. He also told the people to take care of themselves.

The Government of Telangana on March 23 said, “All government and private schools, colleges except medical colleges in the State to be closed from tomorrow, till further orders, in view of rising Covid-19 cases”. Till now, through 9,01,887 sessions, 5.5 crore vaccine doses have been administered. Several healthcare workers, frontline workers, and people aged more than 60 years have been vaccinated so far.
