NEW DELHI: Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court on Friday dismissed the bail plea filed by former deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia in a case related to liquor excise policy case.
The order for the bail was reserved on March 24 by CBI Judge M.K. Nagpal of the Rouse Avenue Courts. The following day, Judge Nagpal asked the probe agency to file written submissions and relevant judgments. The CBI had opposed Sisodia’s bail plea, saying that this will compromise and scuttle their investigation.
Sisodia on Tuesday also moved a bail plea in a court in the same case being probed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
Both CBI and EDarrested Manish Sisodia on Feb 26th and March 9 respectively in connection with the alleged involvement of irregularities in the formulation and implementation of the 2021-22 Delhi excise policy case.
