The Sarkari Gaadi- Ambassador is all set to make a comeback in a new avatar very soon. The Hindustan Motor Financial Corporation of India, an associate of the CK Birla Group is set to introduce a new version of the car, as per sources who claimed to have reports on its digital rendering. The car will be manufactured at the Chennai facility of the HMFC.

AMby the Gen Z model of the traditional Ambassador will be in the market by 2024, sources say. The confirmation of the launch was made by the Director of Hindustan Motors on Wednesday. He further added that the Mechanical and design work for the new engine has reached an advanced stage. Speculations on its reprisal as an EV have been making rounds in the market.

The last Ambassador was manufactured in 2014 at the Uttarpara facility. Due to low demands and massive debts, the production of the first high-end sedan was paused. It made its first debut in 1957 and continued to serve until 2014 with several minor upgrades.
