Current and prospective Members of Parliament (MPs) from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), alongside BJP’s coalition partners like Telugu Desam Party head N. Chandrababu Naidu and Janata Dal (United) president Nitish Kumar, have advocated for Narendra Modi to be the BJP’s and NDA parliamentary leader. This proposed plan was made at the Parliament core in front of the central hall while the strategy regarding Cabinet formation was being developed. Mainstream stakeholders are watching keenly the politics of the BJP as far as its alliances in the centre of national politics is concerned. Later on, Narendra Modi, Naidu, and Nitish Kumar are likely to preside over the claim to form the government with President Droupadi Murmu.
However, things appear to be having a twist in favour of the Congress party as the grand old party has a Lok Sabha strength of 100 post the Sangli Lok Sabha seat victory of Vishal Patil, who has extended his support to the Congress party, the INDIA bloc and the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance. In a press conference, Rahul Gandhi called for an investigation into the volatile trends witnessed in the vicinity of the exit poll and on the day of the results of the elections, saying that this may be the ‘biggest scam’ in the history of the Indian stock market.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has supported the proposal about the credence of Narendra Modi for the leadership of the Lok Sabha along with the leadership of the BJP and NDA Parliamentary Party. He said he is hopeful that this combination will help bring the much-needed head way to the developmental projects pending in Bihar. He looks forward to Modi’s assumption of Office of PM on Sunday.
Speaking at the Parliamentary meeting, a congratulatory message for the clear-cut victory had been made by Chandrababu Naidu of apologizing to Modi for his hectic campaign for three months through the electoral season. Another issue Naidu highlighted was how regional objectives may be employed to contribute to national goals.
