On the 158th birthday of Swami Vivekananda, which also marks the National Youth Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken to his Twitter handle to share his thoughts. Modi, in the midnight, wrote a post on his Twitter handle, paying a tribute to the divine soul on his birth anniversary, which read – “Inspired by the great ideals of Swami Vivekananda and his vision for youth empowerment, the National Youth Parliament Festival gives a platform to India’s youth to showcase their skills. It also furthers the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ among youngsters”.
On his next Tweet at around 9:30, just before the beginning of the National Youth Parliament Festival, the Prime Minister shared a link to the Namo app asking the general people to share their thoughts regarding Swami Vivekananda.
Later, Modi shared a video on his Twitter handle, where he is seen to be addressing at the National Youth Parliamentary Festival, which started from 10:30 on Tuesday to mark the birth anniversary of the great soul.
Notably, Swami Vivekananda, earlier known as Narendra Nath Dutta, was born in Kolkata in 1863. The spiritual philosopher was loved and admired among people for spreading Vedantic ideas. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has lately installed a statue of the great personality within the premises of Jawaharlal Nehru University.
